I'm Eugene Churkin, a personal trainer in Canary Wharf and the coach behind Colossus PT. I've trained clients across the Wharf for around 2 years, and since April 2026 I've worked exclusively from UNTIL Canary Wharf — 1 private members' club, in the heart of the financial district. The work is 1-2-1 and built entirely around you: strength, muscle, and fat loss programmed together, not chased in isolation.

Most of the people I work with are professionals from the surrounding financial district — busy, capable, and short on time, who want their training handled properly rather than left to chance. I'm originally from Ukraine and coach in 3 languages — English, Russian, and Ukrainian. Across my 2 years in the Wharf, a good number of my 1-2-1 clients have been Russian-speaking, and coaching them in their own language means the technique cues and the reasoning behind every session are never lost in translation.

I keep the offer deliberately simple: 2 ways to train — 1-2-1 in the gym, or online with regular check-ins — both built around your goals, your schedule, and the realities of a demanding job. Load is earned, progress follows capacity, and the plan keeps evolving so it never stops working. Every coaching relationship starts with an honest read of where you are today — training history, old niggles, your schedule, sleep, and how you eat. Nothing is assumed. That picture is the foundation every programming decision is built on.

Your plan is built around your body, your week, and your goals, with the right balance of strength, muscle, and conditioning work. Nutrition and lifestyle guidance is woven in from the start so the training fits your real life in the Wharf.

Progress

Where do you train clients?

I coach 1-2-1 at UNTIL Canary Wharf, a private members’ club at 1 Westferry Circus, in the heart of the financial district. I’ve trained clients across Canary Wharf for around two years and now work exclusively from this location, so the coaching fits naturally into a working day in the Wharf.

Do you coach in Russian or Ukrainian?

Yes. I’m originally from Ukraine and fluent in Russian and Ukrainian as well as English, and I coach a number of Russian-speaking clients in their own language. Training in your first language makes the technique cues, the reasoning behind your programme, and our progress conversations clearer and more comfortable.

Who do you work best with?

Often busy professionals from in and around Canary Wharf who want their training handled properly around a demanding job. That said, the starting point is wherever you are today — whether you train regularly or are coming back after a long gap, the programme is built around you, not the other way round.

Do I need to be fit before I start?

No, and most people aren’t. I regularly work with people returning to training after a long gap as well as regular gym-goers who want better results. Your programme is built around your current capacity and lifestyle, not against a standard you are expected to already meet. We start where you are and build from there.

How often should I train each week?

For most people, two to three strength-focused sessions a week return the most for the time invested. The right number depends on your goals, schedule, and how well you recover, and we agree it early so the plan fits your real week. Consistency over weeks matters far more than any single session.
